Materials: Sterling Silver, Loofah
Dimensions: 1.5x1.5x2.25"

The composition of this ring ranges from earth to sky to man made structure. The twiggy texture of this form emulates the rich earth from which all life springs. The brilliant color is like the sky above. This combination of earth and sky, Loofah Flora, stretches upward from it's sturdy edifice.

I have been making jewelry since I was a fourth grader selling bracelets to my classmates during recess. When the time came to go to college it was very clear to me that I wanted to continue making jewelry. I choose to study at Bowling Green State University and am currently a senior studying in the Metals and Jewelry department. In my work, I like to use simple shapes and colors to create an organic yet modern aesthetic. I like this combination of seemingly opposing ideas as I feel this opposition also describes myself. I am most inspired by elements in nature and modern architecture.
