Materials: copper, composition gold leaf, aluminum leaf, lacquer, acrylic paint
Dimensions: 7.25" x 1.5" 26 gauge copper
The copper sheet has been cut, fold-formed and distressed with hammers. It was shaped into a cuff and then leaf was applied. It was colored with lacquer and acrylic paints. Then it was sanded and chemically distressed with acetone. It was rinsed with water and patinated with liver of sulphur. After drying it was again painted and lacquered. Then it was spray varnished two times.

A story within a story within a story. The basic material is the theme, the shape and colors are the chapters, the finished surface is the denouement.
Altogether, a life well read.
